People living with memory loss usually do best with a steady routine and a familiar face. We try to keep the same caregiver with your loved one, help them through the day's routine, gently redirect when things get confusing, and keep an eye on safety so the family can take a breath.
Some nights are harder than others. We can arrange an overnight stay or round-the-clock care in shifts, so someone is there for bathroom trips, turning in bed, reassurance, and to call for help if it's needed.
Coming home after a hospital stay can be a lot. For the first days or weeks we help with bathing, meals, moving around the house safely and daily reminders, following the discharge plan. Any nursing care, like wound care, stays with the nursing team.
When a loved one is near the end of life, we help keep them clean, comfortable and not alone, and give the family time to rest and be together. We work alongside the palliative or nursing team, who look after all medical care.
Caring for someone you love is hard work. We can step in for a few hours, a weekend, or while you're away, so you can rest, run errands or just take a break knowing your loved one is looked after.
Living in a care home doesn't mean a resident stops needing one-on-one time. We can provide a PSW for extra companionship or 1:1 support, and we supply PSWs to retirement and long-term care homes to cover shifts, weekends and holidays.
RightSite Homecare is a non-medical home care agency. Our caregivers can remind clients when it's time for their medication, but they don't give or sort medication, do nursing tasks, or make medical decisions. We also don't offer transportation or drive clients anywhere. In an emergency, our caregivers call 911 and stay with the client until help arrives.
